From Dusk To Dawn (Los Altos / San Jose, CA) :Metal / Hardcore:

Welcome From Dusk To Dawn. Making up of members from Los Altos and San Jose, California. They're still in their early stages of the new lineup but the music they already have out sounds great. New member and drummer Tyler Hanne promises a much better than what they already have out. High expectations have been barred up and I'm sure they won't dissapoint.

The Life You Silenced (Summersville, WV) :Melodic Deathcore:

The Life You Silenced comes straight out of Summersville, WV. Same as As She Dies, for any of you who have heard of that band. That's because the mastermind behind As She Dies is a guitarist for The Life You Silenced, so they have a very similar sound in the guitar work, except this band contains human flesh members and not much machine work! Give these guys a listen! Melodic Deathcore from Summersville, WV!

A City In Arms (San Jose, CA) :Hardcore/Metal:

Heart to Heart (Pismo Beach, CA) :Melodic Punk:

These guys are fucking amazing friends, amazing musicians and... Just amazing is all I can say. I checked these guys out as soon as I heard about them from a friend and liked their tracks a lot. Their debut EP "Impressions" is one of the few records that I love and can listen to in its entirety. Though, only five tracks long, it's still very powerful and true to their sound. Hop over to their Facebook and give their music a listen. Preview and buy their EP "Impressions" if you dig it! Or atleast give these guys some love and encourage them to come out and welcome them into your grounds!

As She Dies (Summersville, WV) :Deathcore:

I introduce to you As She Dies. A one-man-Deathcore-band from West Virginia! I've been listening to his music for a few years now and it never seems to get old. It's all so simple yet so fucking heavy. His very early material consisted of a lot of techno and synth samples but as you listen to later and later recordings you can definitely hear the music maturing in really deep levels. He's only getting better at writing and I'm really stoked for his new album to drop, it's such a surprise in every chapter. Oh, did I mention he releases all his music free to friends and fans?? All you Deathcore fans, give him a listen, you won't be dissapointed! As She Dies Facebook

Handguns (Harrisburg, PA / Baltimore, MD) :Pop Punk:

Their bio pretty much says it all..
"Whats up we are a pop punk band from Harrisburg Pa. We believe in hard work and having fun. We don't have famous friends we are not critically acclaimed and no one in this band was ever in some famous band who's name we could drop or coat tail we could ride. But we will get up earlier than you and work longer and harder. That has to count for something. If it doesn't then at least we had a hell of a good time trying and made some amazing friends along the way."
These guys are one of the most amazing Pop Punk bands I've ever treated my ears to. With their lyrics being so relevant to our everyday lives and their music filling you up with the energy and courage to stand up for yourself and feelings, these guys are no joke when it comes down to it. As Artifacts (Walnut Creek, CA) :Post-Hardcore/Metalcore:

I heard of these guys, As Artifacts, through a friend of mine that had gone to seen them at The Venue in Los Gatos, CA earlier this year telling me how heavy these guys were live. I went on to look them up and sure as hell they came off really heavy in their debut EP "Reclamation" I fucking loved their first track Superdoom which begins with a programmed beat then eventually the guys come out heavy with their introduction on the last half of the track, then leading into their Ain't Not Party Like the Donner track. The riffs in the song come out very unique to me and mixed in so well with the rest of the track. More later in the track comes in a heavy symphonic breakdown which is knuckle-biting heavy. Atleast that's how I reacted when I first heard it for myself. Chugs Ahoy is probably one of the craziest tracks I know by these guys, it's all so good. Give it a listen HERE on their bandpage and download Chugs Ahoy for free on their "WELCOME/Free Download!" tab on the left! Visit their Facebook, like em, say whatsup and if you're anywhere around Los Gatos, CA try and make it out to their show with The Art of War, Watchers and Hunters, Five Characters in Search of an Exit, and more this Friday, April 29, 2011!

A Shipwreck A Castaway (Riverside, CA) :Pop-punk/Hardcore:

Ladies and Gents, please welcome A Shipwreck A Castaway. A Pop-punk/Hardcore band residing in Riverside, CA down south of us here in San Jose. I heard of these guys through a friend, Bo from Stickup Kid, when I was putting a show together at my school, Del Mar High (that became chaos but ended in an extremely sweet house show) and had them come down to San Jose to play for us. And we did not go wrong at all in doing so. These guys came off very professional with really awesome energy up on stage and had great crowd interaction. I could definitely tell from all the people sporting their shirts and buttons around that they really digged this band! Their music is definitely one in helping a broken soul, know you don't have to be alone in anything if you don't want to be. Give their tracks a listen HERE on their bandpage and you'll know what I mean. These guys were really down to earth with their fans and friends, and really inspirational. They needed a place to stay and I could not let down that offer after they came all the way down here to be troubled by a school! (Though, once again ending in a crazy house show!) They're really cool people to spend time with and I hope they can come by a city near you to play for you and meet them! Go visit their facebook, listen to their tracks, hit em up, show em love, support! Anything, these dudes will appreciate it!

The Art of War (San Jose, CA) :Metal, Hardcore:

The Art of War from San Jose, CA. One of THE biggest influences in my opinion from here in San Jose. The first time I got to hear them live was at their CD Release show with Arsonists Get All the Girls, Our Living Memory, A City in Arms and way more bands who have all come off flawless and strong at that show. Once was all it took for me to get hooked and want to come back for more (catching them next friday April 29, at The Venue in Los Gatos, CA) Not only is their music fucking great, but so are the guys in that band. These guys  are some of the coolest guys I've met and will make you feel right at home with their energy. Give their tracks a listen on their bandpage on Facebook. If you like what you hear, trust me, you won't go wrong with purchasing their CD. All the tracks are just as fuckin great. Catch em on iTunes or see them at a show and purchase their CD "Visions" off them themselves, and take the chance to meet them as well. They'll definitely be making themselves known soon.

Aura of Lesya (San Jose, CA) :Metal/Hardcore:

Today, I got to share with you guys Aura of Lesya. Made up of members from Sympathy Ends and Octoclops (Which I'll give a review for later!) They're a Metal/Hardcore band from yours truly, San Jose, CA.  I've honestly never heard of these guys until they invited me to listen to their music just a while ago and I don't know how I've gone without hearing of them, they make such a great addition to San Jose and I really liked what I heard. Their music sounds so fuckin tight, I suggest you give their track "Dead Leaves" a listen and you'll know what I mean. They've definitely made it to my library, and I know they'll definitely make it to many other places as well very soon if they keep it up! Give em a listen dudes! They'll also be playing with A Breed Extinct, Our Living Memory and lots of other bands at The Venue in Los Gatos, CA tomorrow night! I'll definitely try to make it out to this one.

Sentinel (Mid-Michigan) :Progressive Metal:

I told myself I wouldn't post anymore for today, but I couldn't help it after listening to these guys over and over and over again. There's something in their music that just gets me going everyday, I can't tell if it's the high-end melodies they can deliver so well and fast-paced, like in their track "To Shape An Ocean" or the low-ends that they deliver straight to your face, as well in "To Shape An Ocean" Either way, if you're trying to find something a little different to listen to, while the element of brutality is still well in tact, look no further. Sentinel, out of Michigan, is the rememdy to your boredom in your own musical taste, and your escape into a new-age and a whole 'nother level of a point of view in music. Stop by their Facebook and give them a listen, you'll know just what I mean.

Helm's Deep (Salinas, CA) :Metal/Hardcore:

Helm's fucking Deep. (Made up mainly of members from Moria, including Taylor, vocalist of Seven Tongues.) Where do I even begin? I saw these guys at their debut show with Arsonists Get All the Girls at The Venue in Los Gatos, CA and they blew me the fuck away. Very saddened that I didn't get the chance to be up close with the rest of the crowd but from what I saw it looked like a hell of a time. I think it's safe to say that these guys stole that show, bringing down that fucking venue and everyone in it with them. They've recently just released 3 demo tracks that you can listen to and download HERE! If you like what you hear, go over to their Facebook, follow them there and show these guys some love! Come out to their next show at The Venue again on June 03, 2011 to catch these guys in action. (Or May 28 at The Dome for those around Bakersfield, CA area.)

Make Them Suffer (Perth, Western Australia) :Symphonic Death Metal:

These guys are probably one of the best things that I have ever come across. Their music is such a perfect mix of death/black metal while at the same time retaining an epic symphonic sound completed with the most brutal breakdown you'll ever hear. Hailing from Perth, Western Australia I bring you Make Them Suffer. They've had a few songs up for download in the past month that's coming out of their latest EP. The track "Maelstrom" is probably my most personal favorite. Usually, I have a hard time getting by 6 minute long tracks, but sometimes I wish their songs just went on and on and on cause I can't get enough. Check their tracks out up on their Facebook's bandpage HERE! Trust me, you won't be dissapointed.

Happy Birthday, Rolando Muñoz!

We Were Sharks (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) :Pop Punk:

In comes We Were Sharks!! (Formerly know as "Sharks!" but changed their name due to conflicts) These guys are an easy going Pop Punk band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada! These guys have some really awesome melodies in their music like in their song "I Only Like Their First Album" which is featured in their latest EP "Three For Free" and is up for free download on their Facebook HERE! Or direct download through this link over HERE! Personally, what really got my attention and made me fall in love with this band is their acoustic "Go West, Young Man" which can be found in their "HOLY RIP!" They've posted up a new song titled "Condemned" which I'm listening to as I write this and is up for download. It's quite an adventure listening to it, taking you through savvy riffs while keeping it heavy as fuck. Give it a listen on their Facebook HERE! And "Like" them as well!
